As part of its 70 day journey across the UK, the Olympic torch visits Blackpool on Friday 22 June – you can be sure we’ll welcome it in style with an evening of entertainment, family fun and excitement at the UK’s favourite beach resort.  The famous torch will arrive in Blackpool from Cleveleys, before travelling through the north of the town and finishing in an Evening  Celebration on the Tower Festival Headland. The Flame will light a cauldron on the Tower Festival Headland, where it will stay alight throughout the Evening Celebration event. We are working with LOCOG and the three Presenting Partners of the Relay – Coca Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung – to host an Evening Celebration to celebrate the Olympic Flame. Details of the show will be released over the next few months.

McFly & The Wanted headline together in Blackpool – Sunday 22 June
See two of Britain’s biggest boybands in one concert. The Wanted and McFly will headline a concert on Blackpool’s brand new Tower Festival Headland… what a way to celebrate the start of summer! Tickets are priced at £29.50 (plus booking fees).

Elton John to open Tower Festival Headland – Saturday 16 June
Undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world, Elton John and his band will bring their unforgettable live show to Blackpool for one special night to launch the opening of the new Tower Festival Headland.
