| Online Booking says: | Mature Couple Stayed: May 2012 "short break" we arrived 3 hours early and got in staff were great and offered us drinks room was a bit small but managed breakfast was excellant and much more.the hotel was very clean and modern location of this hotel was great right in the middle. | Our Reply: | Hello anonymous, its a shame you did not give us a chance to resolve the issues you have raised in your review during your stay with us. all our rooms are checked prior to being let to guests and we are disapointed with your low scores, but as you have not given your name we are unable to attempt to rectify these issues with you. we were aware that one of our servers / routers were down for a short while and that the internet was not available in part of the building, but this was rectified as soon as possible. regards John & Lorna |

| Our Reply: | Hi Kerry, Thank you for your review on booking.com with regard to the bar closing early the bar was closed about 10pm every night during your stay as the majority of the guests were out for the night, as to no entertainment due to the size of our premises I am surprised you would expect it. however we do have on occasion when numbers permit. | john says: | My wife and I visited this hotel for an easter break we arrived early to aleviate parking,My wife went into the hotel just to see where we could park my wife was really pleased with the reception she was given after parking we were told that coffee or tea would be provided along with biscuits what a wonderfull welcome.We were shown to our room and were surprised how nice the room was cleanliness was exceptional the bedroom was niceley furnished once again tea and coffee along with cakes and biscuits were already in the room.Breakfast the next morning was the icing on the cake so to speak it was superb.thanks John and Lorna for making our stay so pleasant,John and Irene,Smith. |

Still LOVE LOVE LOVE your Hotel. I Love Love Love this hotel!! Have been last summer then again this year for 2 nights with 3 of my friends. The hotel is close to the seafront and I would say roughly in the middle of the pleasure beach and the town centre. The breakfasts here are excellant, mmmmm im missing them now Im home though!! Rooms are nice clean with on suite bathrooms. The hotel bar is excellant too, Really good prices, good for a few drinks before heading into town. I would definatly recommend this hotel. Liked: Rooms, Service, Location, Value, Food |

Reviewed 17 November 2011 NEW We booked a standard double room for two through Booking.com where the pictures of the room seemed very nice, however when we actually entered the room we realized how mis-leading the pictures on the website were. Though tidy but the room was so small that we could not find any space to even keep our luggage. We had to stack them up one over the other. The bathroom was clean I would say small but still manageable. We paid 70GBP per night which was really high compared to the room provided. Hotel staff was friendly and nice especially Lorna, but the idea of going back to the room during the stay did not comfort at all. To some extent we felt cheated as we have been to other locations in UK and haven't had too tight a place to spend our night in. Room service was good and we were quite happy with the breakfast as we were vegetarians and Lorna took care of that. |

Although our budget double rooms are not over large they do meet the visit Britain four star rating for guest accommodation requirements for both size and sufficient space for guest’s to move easily around the room. It is your opinion that the room pictures on booking.com are misleading, we would wish to differ and would like to state pictures shown cover the range of rooms we provide and do not imply that our budget rooms are any larger than they actually are. In fact booking.com would not allow misleading information to be placed on their site. With regards to the cost: The size of the room is only part of your payment, It also reflects the level of service and facilities provided. Your visit was made during- peak season and of a short 2 night stay over the weekend, one of Blackpool’s busiest periods. Another trip advisor guest comment who stayed in a budget room Room Tip: Remember that the bedroom is only a small part of your trip and most of the time you are in it you don't care ;o) You can't beat excellent customer service and a good breakfast both of which you will get at the New Phildene together with a good location when visiting Blackpool.
